9 Kids Healthy Recipes You Can Cook In Less Than 30 Minutes

Preparing kids healthy recipes today will definitely impact their healthy food choice in the future. Looking for healthy kid-friendly recipes isn’t a walk in the park though! Kids are not as excited about eating their greens and discovering healthy recipes as we are. Parents are usually left with two options: Dining out or hiding greens in their kids’ favorite comfort foods. Take the latter with these easy-to-prepare meals. In only 30-minutes you can prepare kids healthy recipes they will grow to love!

Weeknights usually need easy to prepare dinner, and these calzones stuffed with broccoli and three cheeses will be your go-to quick dinner. Prepare a few of these turnovers over the weekend, freeze them in a ziplock, and reheat in your oven whenever you need a quick dinner for your family. For sure, kids will love this vegetarian meal when served with tomato sauce.

Note: These calzones can be frozen up to 2 months.

2. Broccoli Spinach Fettuccine

This requires a bit more work and a few more ingredients, but it’s still doable within 30 minutes. Whip up some pasta and add in spinach, broccoli, and garlic. Add some sour cream, and your kids will definitely love this dish. Add a little more parmesan to your kids’ plate to at least mask the greens.

Tacos without meat may be difficult to imagine. But wait until you taste these tacos with black bean, corn, and honey-lime sweet potato. The secret here is to bake first your sweet potatoes coated with olive oil, cayenne pepper, coriander, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Once the sweet potatoes are tender, remove them from the oven. Saute the onions, garlic, black beans, corn, lime juice, and honey, before you toss in the baked sweet potatoes. You can serve these with warm tortillas.

Whip up a hearty and tasty dinner by adding some zest to your chicken! Add lemon juice to sautéed chicken and boil until the mixture is reduced. Serve with egg noodles and bond with your family over a hearty dinner. This is a tasty and healthy complete meal your kids will dig anytime.

Thinking of healthy dessert kids will love after having a delightful dinner? Puffed quinoa peanut butter balls are the answer! This is a no-bake recipe. All you need to do is mix all the ingredients (puffed quinoa, peanut butter, agave nectar, and vanilla extract). If necessary, set aside inside the fridge to firm up the mixture before rolling into balls. Then, place inside the fridge for about 15 minutes before serving this healthy snack.

6. Whole Wheat Pasta and Veggies

Here’s another meal to get your kids to eat vegetables. Cook the pasta as normal, while eventually adding vegetables to the pasta water. Drain the pasta with veggies and then add butter and Parmesan cheese. This easy recipe can be your go-to dinner recipe for evenings when you don’t have a lot of extra time.

Finger foods are always kids’ favorite. But you don’t have to serve them chicken nuggets all the time. Go for creative and healthy alternatives! Serve your little ones with these veggie nuggets. Simply shred some carrots, steam the broccoli florets, and then mix them with the rest of the ingredients in a food processor. Use different shapes of cookie cutter to make your veggie nuggets more enticing to your kids.
